What's so special about this place?
CHARM
-
The story-book village charm of our cabin arrangement is unique
to any where in the US.
PRIVACY - The cabins are
close enough to create a community environment, yet far enough apart to
provide ample privacy.
COMMUNICATION - The resort
was created to facilitate communication and group spirit.
To compliment the natural beauty of the forest, we built the community
house, group and individual campfires, trails and even the sidewalks
with simplicity and eloquence. You will add the last ingredient, human
interaction.
All of these factors will create the communication between you, your
friends and your families that will be the foundation of your marriage.
No jokes here.
What's the weather like?
PERFECT
- OK, maybe just nearly
perfect, typically around 70-75 degrees. We are the highest mountain
resort in Northern California. Our highest summer temperature tops at 90
degrees.
In contrast the other lakes and towns; Shasta Lake, Mt. Shasta, Redding,
Chico, Sacramento, etc are frequently over 100 degrees and with out
appreciable shade. Don't get your guests hot, sweaty and irritable, keep
'em cool.
We have an early spring and a late
fall.
We go to Florida for the winter.
My parents are divorced ...
KUMBAYA - No one has
yet sooted-up an ex-spouse, but a few (brides mainly) have worried about
parental animosities.
You have the best of
opportunities now to let your parents meet again in a friendly
environment but with plenty of escape options. They will not want to
upset your wedding.
Does the resort
really look as good as your web site shows it?
BEAUTY - No, it looks
much better. Many couples book sight unseen and are
ecstatic when they visit. Your friends and family will thank you (and
us) for this magical venue.
How do I arrange for all the other details of my wedding?
MOLE HILLS
- This is our expertise. We have many local contacts for quality
goods and services. We can arrange or help you arrange for the seemingly
mountains of details.
