Menu/Reception

The bride and groom have great freedom for selecting a caterer or a Reception dinner caterer.
Preferred caterers (shastaweddings.com/organizing_vendors.html)
are available but others are permitted as well.

Guests do not necessarily need to bring food, cooking gear, etc. and special requests can be usually accommodated.

Friday BBQ -

A first gathering that introduces each other, the beauty and relaxed mood of the venue.
Guests are entertained by the arrivals of others, a central campfire, lighr music and short hikes and walks to their cabins or camps.

The Friday arrival BBQ is designed to casually meet, greet and view other members of the
bride and groom's friends and families and the hosting staff as well.

This setting sets a relaxed, family and friends atmosphere for the weekend.

The servings are very generous. Gluten and vegetarian diets are typical but please let us know in advance.

On the Grill

Typically Kobe beef, dry aged hamburgers and
apple chicken sausage grilled to perfection or
Hebrew National all beef hot dogs for those die hard dog lovers.

Cheese on any of these grilled goodies is available too.

Vegetarian non-meat option for our vegetarian and vegans.

And.....

BBQ beans (special Vegan recipe), Organic corn on the Cob,
Caesar salad, watermelon slices and all the trimmings
to finish off a great BBQ.

and ... S'mores by the campfire!!!

Saturday Meals

Saturday is the best day for all. The cool mountain over night air is oxygen rich
and almost guarantees a previous night of rest.
The kitchen opens early for quality coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

Guests take mini tours and enjoy the spectacular grounds, flower beds and rich forest ecology.
Many plan on their post breakfast hike, run, fish or swim adventure. A to go lunch is provided for a lunch on the go.

Both breakfast and lunch are fairly calorie loaded for the adventurous.

Just after the Ceremony and while the bride and groom are posing for pictures you might enjoy a snack ...

Post Ceremony - Guest prepared Hors d'ouveres
