It has been exactly 1 year since Brian and I said "I do".

We were so happy with our venue choice - Shasta Weddings-la was just perfect for us.
We enjoyed the mountain setting, the relaxed atmosphere, the variety of activities available,
the friendly and hard working staff, the delicious food, the great weather, the unlimited fun we could have in this private resort!
Also, thank you for the suggested vendors, the people we selected from the list did marvelous job as well -
you surround yourself with great professionals.

The bottom line is that we could not have been more pleased with everything and even one year late.
We are still getting compliments from our friends, some of them stating that this has been the best wedding they have ever been to.
And we know that they are not exaggerating...

Hi Beth and John,

We just wanted to thank you both so much for the amazing wedding weekend we had.

Everything was perfect and exactly how we wanted it.
We look back now and are sad it is all over. But there's nothing we would change about the big day; it was the best day of our lives.

Every guest that attended the wedding said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Your site is stunningly gorgeous with its breathtaking views of mountains and forest. Everyone enjoyed going to the swimming holes during the day and then being able to come back and relax in the cabins. We couldn't have asked for better weather (I think it stayed in the mid-80s all day!). I never felt too hot, and as the night went on I didn't need a sweater or anything -- it stayed perfect all day.

Your staff was very sweet and friendly to everyone, and the food was always on time and delicious! Your lasagna is without a doubt the best lasagna I've ever had, and we absolutely loved the cake too!

And thank you for putting up with our wild and crazy friends and family. They all said it was the funniest wedding they had ever been to, but I know it was probably exhausting for you guys.

Your site provided some pretty spectacular backdrops for the pictures, so I will forward those along to you now so you can see them. If you want to put any on your site, let me know which ones and I'll ask the photographers if they can put a disclaimer on it or something. They took some breathtaking photos of your grounds..

Thanks again, we were all pretty depressed when the weekend was over, but we're all still raving about the memories.

Beth and John....the wedding was perfect.....you and your staff are amazing and made us feel like part of the family....and visa versa.  I was amazed that I had no stress whatsoever.  My best girlfriend, Teri and her husband Deane, who took the photos, completed so many tasks of preparation, they were our magic fairy godmother and godfather.  Our photos are gorgeous.  I will send some to you.  The weather was the most perfect scenario as you will see in the photos....very mystical and magical.  Shasta Weddings was perfect.  Loved Ray our DJ...he was amazing.....such a pro and fit in with us all.  I will send a more proper thank you at a later date.  We're so pleased as everyone else was amazed how wonderful Shasta Weddings was. Thank you so much for everything....Sherri

Hi Beth and John.....its funny, I was sitting by our pool on Saturday wondering how well your weather was for the next wedding.  Tom and I figured it was about the same as ours. 
We so enjoyed EVERYTHING...even the weather, as the photo's are gorgeous with the mist surrounding the wedding site.  We will send photo's. 
Your staff is wonderful, friendly, like family, and all our family are calling telling us what a lovely time they had and that its the best wedding they've been to.  I'm so happy I searched the web for Shasta Weddings, otherwise I may have never known about your wonderful resort. 
Tom wants to come up some time soon mid week or whenever to rent a cabin and fish.....

Good morning all!

Well our wedding

 at Shasta Weddings the weekend of June 19-20th went beautifully, thanks to all of you!!  We received numerous compliments on the location, cake and flowers, as well as the kindness of John and Beth--the hostesses with the mostesses! 

This was truly the best weekend of my lifetime and I was so sad to

see it end, although, I know that this is just the beginning for V and I in our life adventure together!! 

I have a received a few emails with wedding pictures from friends, and thought you all might enjoy pictures of some of your handy work at Shasta Weddings!

John and Beth-

I just wanted to send an email thanking you for the wonderful job you did hosting all of us for the wedding. 
The setting at Shasta Weddings is absolutely breath taking. 

The staff was friendly and courteous, quick to help out and some went beyond the call of duty.  The man (forgot his name, terrible of me) who kept the campfire going was phenomenal, he was adding more wood to the fire the minute it needed it and even went into his "secret stash" of chocolate to give my daughter a piece so she could make a s'more on the second night.  So sweet of him.

And the food...yum...the BBQ was great, the green bean salad was to die for!!! The breakfast was delicious, the biscuits, cinnamon rolls and fresh fruit hit the spot, and I can not stop thinking about the vegetarian lasagna (any chance for the recipe??).  The vegetables in it tasted like real vegetables..surprise surprise.  Did you grow all those yourself?  I really would love the recipe but I understand if you do not divulge your secrets.

Anyway, I kept thinking about the work that must go into having so many people at Shasta Weddings and just wanted to pass along my gratitude to you both for making what Stevie and Kristin thought was a "perfect wedding weekend" and I hope that you have a  prosperous and smooth summer and a safe trek back to Florida for the winter months.

Our first Wedding

Dear Beth, John and all the wonderful staff, 
  
We are still unwinding from the fantastic wedding festivities at Shasta Weddings.  It is truly a  special place. 
Friends and relatives have called us to express their great enjoyment of the whole affair ­ the wedding itself, the elegant banquet on the lawn, the marvelous meals that you and your crew worked so hard to prepare, the ever present campfire that would draw folks to come and sit a spell and make new friends, or just sitting on their patios and enjoying the beauty of the forest and not to forget the dancing and music that made the Long House really rock. 

  The cabins were very comfortable and those that camped seemed to enjoy it. 
We certainly were fortunate with the beautiful weather. We loved the serene mornings when the sun was just coming up and everything was fresh and quiet.  The coffee was always there for the early birds. 

  Shasta Weddings is a place where people of all ages and interests can find peace and joy.  There are so many amenities great and small ­ the campfire, the outdoor shower, the flower lined paths, the white picket fences, the hammock in the shade, the little spring house with the pure, cool running water, and the breakfast that almost made it to the newly weds nuptial tent.

  You all had a can-do attitude and never lost your cool. Even when you were constantly being interrupted and bombarded with requests  you didn't get stressed out.  You are amazing people! 

  I guess we rambled on enough but we wanted to thank you a thousand times for all you did to make Laurie and Josh's wedding so perfect.  We will surely plan to come again to Shasta Weddings,  It'll be different without a large wedding party but it will still be wonderful. 
  
Give a big hug to Mary and her girls, to Tom, Nathan, Dick and Claudia.  They were all wonderful.

We had an amazing weekend and so did everybody else.  I had a call yesterday from Larry and he made it to Oakland safely.  He said that the wedding he did on Sunday didn't even compare to ours.  As a matter of fact - he said ours was probably the coolest thing he's ever done.
